Plus One grew out of the band Arcade Fire, who were looking for a way to support Haiti and realized the power that lay with the most passionate and committed people they knew: their audience.
PLUS ONE IS AN INNOVATIVE SOLUTION TO DRIVE SOCIAL CHANGE AND CATALYZE CULTURAL MOMENTUM TOWARD EQUITY, DIGNITY, AND ACCESS FOR ALL.
Plus One works with artists to help them identify a cause they believe in and demonstrate the impact that a Plus One partnership can have. We seek out and identify nonprofit partners that qualify to receive the Plus One dollars. Plus One uses a multifaceted approach to ensure that the recipients have distinct records of programmatic impact and fiscal responsibility.Since inception, Plus One has raised OVER $7 MILLION FROM 3,500 SHOWS WITH 125 ARTISTS, FESTIVALS, AND EVENTS WORLDWIDE TO 250 HIGH IMPACT LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS.Plus oNE is supported by individual partnerships and philanthropy which enables us to ensure every "+1" dollar raised goes directly to support our recipient organizations.
