RIT's mission is to welcome and partner with those who have sought refuge, employing strengths-based educational approaches and community supports so they may thrive in our shared communities.During Covid-19, RIT has operated at full capacity. The diversity of RIT's staff has positioned us to address the needs of the most socially and linguistically isolated communities. This has allowed us to quickly pivot and develop systems for virtual service delivery (by phone and online). RITs team consists of 43 (22 full-time equivalent) dedicated staff members. Between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020, RIT served 2,000 refugee and immigrant youth and adults with education, family engagement, and community leadership services.
