SF Clean City Coalition is a non-profit established in 1991 to focus on cleaning, greening and beautifying the City of San Francisco
Clean City Services: Landscaping, Sidewalk Cleaning Operations, Graffiti Abatement, Special Event Clean-up, Recycling and Re-Use efforts: Clean City Services operates as a social enterprise offering landscaping, landscape maintenance, steam cleaning and power washing, graffiti abatement services, and special event clean-up and recycling. City Clean Services generates revenue for the agency while promoting our mission and creating employment opportunities for low-income individuals.
Neighborhood Resources: Fiscal Agency/Technical Support, Gigantic 3, Giant Sweep Program and other activities: SF Clean City provides fiscal agency and technical support to cleaning, greening and beatification projects throughout San Francisco. We partner with Recology, the Department of Public Works, Goodwill Industries, the San Francisco Parks Alliance, and other community based groups on both the Gigantic 3 recycling program and the Giant Sweep/Community Clean Team Program in order to increase volunteerism and develop innovative programs around cleaning, greening, and beautification projects that improve the quality of life in San Francisco neighborhoods.
Clean City Training Programs: The Green City Partnership and the Green City Program provide transitional employment, job readiness, training, and job placement assistance to homeless, formerly homeless and very low-income men and women through community improvement projects in San Francisco. In 2019, approximately 40 Clean City Partnership program participants attended employment readiness workshops that include resume writing, interview techniques, job search strategies, and basic computer skills. All of the participants are paid an hourly wage to perform community improvement activities such as neighborhood greening, gardening, graffiti removal, and community recycling events.
