San Francisco Green Film Festival's (SFGFF) mission is to educate and connect communities through forward thinking programs of environmental films, dialogues, and action opportunities.
At the annual San Francisco Green Film Festival in September 2019, over 5,000 audience members came together for over 60 new environmental documentaries from 20 countries, with over 100 filmmakers and environmental guest speakers and 46 community organizations taking part. The 2018 Festival was an official Affiliate Event of the Global Climate Action Summit, in partnership with the United Nations Environment Program. In addition to the annual festival, SFGFF presented year-round events with partners across the city, as well as programs to support local youth and filmmakers, including the NEA-funded Reel Science Challenge.As part of our commitment to diverse audiences, we offered over 800 complimentary tickets to youth; and year-round free community screenings to the general public.
