Social Venture Network (SVN) supports and inspires the people who are re-imaging business to serve the greater good, creating business models that respond to the challenges of the 21st century. SVN believes business plays a critical role in solving the worlds problems, but can do so only if its bottom line is more than profit. Business guided by a larger social mission is the only real solution to the mounting inequalities that threaten our country and our world.SVN is the leading source for education and information about the social venture movement. Our programming covers a range of needs: platforms for seasoned leaders to exchange ideas and advice; practical tips for growth for newer enterprises; resources for intrapreneurs; and updates on cutting edge developments that guide every social venture stakeholder.We connect and inspire leaders to use our community in the following ways:Support leaders to meet the people and attain resources to help achieve goals of greater social impact.Convene small Peer Circles groups for monthly meetings to learn from each other, and ultimately become a group of trusted advisors.Host regional events with unique topic-specific conversations that provide education and local networking for leaders to enhance their business collaboration and impact.Hold annual conferences to learn, network and inspire leaders to expand their missions of creating positive social change through business.Provide an online directory to connect leaders across geography, industry and generations.SVN is committed to supporting the worlds brightest and most innovative entrepreneurs from under-represented groups through our Bridge Initiative. These entrepreneurs may be people of color, women or young people, and may also represent under-represented geographic areas. This work is critical to our vision of advancing the next generation of sustainable, community- oriented business models.
