Organizations Filed Purposes: Our mission is to create opportunities for people to learn and grow through sailing by providing facilities, sailing instruction, and access to the water for people of all socioeconomic backgrounds, abilities and skill levels from novice to the Olympian. TISC students participate in positive, skill building experiences learning water safety, responsibility, respect, communication, teamwork, leadership, and appreciation for their environment. TISC is a large scale, multiuser, year round sailing school on San Francisco Bay operated by dedicated staff and volunteers, emphasizing full community involvement by offering access to all, regardless of financial ability.

Our mission is to create opportunities for people to learn and grow throughsailing by providing facilities,sailing instruction, and access to the water for people of all socioeconomic backgrounds, abilities and skill levels from novice to the Olympian.

The Treasure Island Sailing Center provided 3,418 youth and adults of all abilities and socioeconomic backrounds in the San Francisco Bay Area 41,264 hours of sailing opportunities for either instruction or recreation. The majority of our program serves youth and in 2019 provided 2,696 youth with 33,669 hours of instructions. 82% of youth were provided scholarships. 1,608 of the Center's youth participated in a STEM program offered to the 4th and some 5th grade San Francisco Unified Public School students at no cost including transportation.
