Organizations Filed Purposes: The Tremors Youth Synchronized Ice Skating Team of San Francisco Bay Area (Tremorsync, Inc.) supports the healthy development of children and young people from diverse economic and social backgrounds by providing quality youth sports opportunities and a productive team environment. The Tremors enables youth from many different Bay Area neighborhoods to come together, share their passion of ice skating, and work toward a common goal. Youth from the tenderloin all the way to Marin form lasting friendships based on team commitment, fitness, dedication and camaraderie. The Tremors provides children and youth from diverse backgrounds with a constructive out-of-school activity, support from caring adults, positive peer relations, and leadership opportunities.

The Exempt Program Service Accomplishments for 2018-2019, ending April 30 2019:Major Accomplishments:Team Success:Tremors teams competed at the US Figure Skating Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships in Kalamazoo, MI in January 2019:Preliminary -- 1st - Gold medalPre-Juvenile -- 4thOpen Juvenile -- 5thIntermediate -- 7thAdult -- 3rd - Bronze medalOrganizational Success:Continued to build upon the foundation created the previous season for developing a competitive pipeline of multiple teams that can feed the higher level teams. Looking forward to the 2019-2020 season Tremors will field five teams with more than 80 skaters.Strengthened the organizational structure through professional accounting and bookkeeping services, changed fiscal year to reflect skating season, and implemented accrual method of accounting. Tremors continues to maintain a healthy three-month operating reserve.Skater and parent communication continued to improve via the use of a team management application, strong team managers, and volunteers.Continued to build upon its new website, developed and implemented social media plan and outreach, recruitment and stewardship strategy.Give Sync a Try recruitment event was again well attended and the most attended Official Tryouts in Tremors history in March 2019, exceeding last seasons tryouts. A focus on skater development included increased on-ice practice and off-ice choreography. Tremors also held its fourth highly successful off-season Skills Clinics with guest coaches in the spring and summer of 2019. Our clinics further the mission of the organization while raising funds for the organization.
