Connecting people with places through site integrated theatre awakening senses encouraging curiosity collaboration
Presented our hallmark large-scale, site-integrated theatre, with our production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet with 30 performances and a total audience of 1710 ticket buyers at Rancho Petaluma Adobe State Park in Petaluma CA, and 7 performances, with total audience of 774 ticket buyers at Villa Montalvo Center for the Arts in Saratoga CA Our objective is to transform public spaces into realms of participatory theatre. We bring communities together, reclaiming local spaces for public discourse and civic celebration through art. Our work extends the powers of performance beyond the stage inviting our collaborators and audience to engage fully and awaken to the to the spectacular world around us.
At four different venues, we presented The Capulet Balls, masquerade and performances at unique venues around the greater Bay Area. Our objective with The Capulet Balls was to earn ticket revenues for an audience experience that helps to enhance our patron's awareness and engagement with our main 2016 production of Romeo and Juliet, which story includes a masquerade party.
We presented our fourth annual concert of sea-inspired music from Latin America, performed aboard the tall ship Balclutha at San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, Canciones del Mar/Songs of the sea.
