Organizations Filed Purposes:
Our mission is to enhance the experience of care for caregivers and care recipients and to inspire each other to live fully in the face of the universal experience of loss. We do this through teaching mindfulness and compassion as practical tools to improve well-being, and by using conversation to bring loss out into the open.
Zen Hospice Project trains and educates caregivers to provide Palliative care. Teaching caregivers mindfulness and compassion as practical tools to improve well-being, and by using conversation to bring loss out into the open.
Volunteer Caregiver - Trained one new cohort of 18 volunteers to serve among an established community of 48 volunteer caregivers serving ill residents at the Palliative Care unit at Laguna Honda Hospital.
Public Education - On-going offering of educational programs addressing the emotional needs of caregivers working with persons living with chronic and terminal illness through workshops, seminars, retreats and general information.
Ongoing marketing for other programs and building brand awareness.
