The organization serves to expand, develop, promote, maintain to encourage community participation in the Christmas in the Park Displays in San Jose, California.
- Christmas in the Park in 2019 attracted well over 600,000 to a traditional walk-through holiday experience that included decorated trees, carnival rides, entertainment, animated displays and plenty of holiday dcor and other attractions.- Christmas in July was once again held at History Park and drew nearly 400 people to a fun evening of food fun and Christmas fandom.- Breakfast w/ Santa grew in size as a few hundred people enjoyed a morning with Santa that included a hearty breakfast, entertainment, arts and crafts and fun gift bags all held at The Fairmont San Jose.- The Tree Program saw over 550 Christmas trees decorated by various community groups. Ornaments were mainly hand-crafted in advance and were a major attraction at our Christmas in the Park event.- Our Entertainment Program saw nightly and weekend performances by nearly 150 different groups ranging from musicians and choral groups to a saxophone symphony and puppet shows.- The Habitat for Humanity Playhouse Build featured over 10 local companies building childrens playhouses that were displayed at Christmas in the Park and then donated to families through Blue Star Moms.
