Local Color Studios-Local Color Studios provide accessible below market co-working workspace to local creatives working in diverse mediums from traditionally paintings, digital content production, immersion installations, and more. Members are the first to learn about Creative Service work opportunities and are able to form relationships with a broad community of makers in San Jose. Made possible through partnerships with developers. Local Color Studios have had three iterations of the interim use workspaces and have two active spaces at the end of 2019, hosting 20 artists in residence.
Fund Public Art-Working with local artists, our Fund Public Art program brings art to the public that is fee for all to enjoy and easily accessible. We have done community-driven, privately-commissioned murals. We have produced over 180 public art projects throughout San Jose, Our most notable mural project, #100BlockSJ, brought together 100 artists to create their own individual 3'x 3' mural, to create one large 65' long mural.
Fiscal Sponsorship-Local Color advocates for the economic opportunities for local artists, creatives and community organizers. Fiscal sponsorships allows our organization to help passionate individuals funding for projects aligned with Local Color's mission. San Jose Day and SJ Style & Culture are two projects we sponsored, centered around highlighting and celebrating the unique artistic community found in our home city.
