Organizations Filed Purposes:
KACF-SF supports the vulnerable and underserved in the bay areas Korean American community to lead safe and healthy lives. The foundation pursues this goal by providing grants and capacity-building assistance to nonprofit organizations addressing the vital needs of our community. The foundation also works to raise awareness of such needs and serves as a convener of organizations and facilitator of community dialogue and collaboration.
KACF-SF strives to build a vibrant, healthy, and empowered Korean American community in the Bay Area. The foundation pursues this goal by providing grants and capacity-building assistance to nonprofit organizations addressing the vital needs of our community.
In 2019, KACF-SF provided support to 19 non-profit organizations through community grants, technical assistance grants, capacity-building support, civic engagement support and event sponsorships. Funding benefited Korean American communities in 6 bay area counties and Sacramento. Targeted beneficiaries include limited English-proficient immigrants, low-income families and seniors, victims of domestic violence, Alzheimers patients & their families, and disadvantaged youth.More than 270 individual donors and 28 corporate sponsors have contributed to Korean American Community Foundation of San Francisco.
