These events ranged from performances in private homes to special programs tailored for major corporations.

Educational Programing for Youth: During the 2019-20 season, OSJ offered two educational programs to local public, private and home school students:1. Opera San Jose presented a total of 10 performances of Barab's one-act opera, Little Red Riding Hood, eight at Title 1 schools and two at the Children's Discovery Museum in San Jose. All performances were presented free of charge, and in total served approx. 10,000 students, parents and teachers who attended. Two additional performances at Title 1 schools had been scheduled but were cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent shelter-in-place orders. All schools were provided with a study guide so that teachers could prepare their students for the performance. 2. Opera San Jose invited students and their teachers from Title 1 schools and foster youth groups to attend a free final dress rehearsal of our main-stage production of Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel at the California Theatre on November 13 and 14, 2019. The program reached approximately 1,400 youth and their teachers/ companions.

Educational Programming for Adults: Opera San Jose offered opera previews for each of our three productions to educate the public about the opera and present musical excerpts. There were available to the general public at no charge and were held at various locations for convenience of the public. Total programs presented: 12 Attendance: 500
