TO LEVERAGE THE TALENT OF HIGHLY SKILLED PRIVATE COMPANY EMPLOYEES TO PROVIDE FREE TECHNICAL AND OTHER ASSISTANCE TO CITY GOVERNMENTS AND OTHER PUBLIC-SECTOR AGENCIES LOCATED IN THE SILICON VALLEY REGION.

SOME EXAMPLE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS WE COMPLETED IN 2016 INCLUDE:SMALL BUSINESS IGNITE SUNNYVALE, NOVEMBER 3, 2016 - WHERE VOLUNTEER MENTORS HELPED SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS IN BOTH CITIES TO LEARN ABOUT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PLANNING, SOCIAL MEDIA, TAX PLANNING AND ACCESS TO CAPITAL. IN ALL THERE WERE MORE THAN 30 VOLUNTEERS WHO PUT IN MORE THAN 200 HOURS FOR THESE TWO PROGRAMS. THE COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS BROUGHT TOGETHER A WIDE RANGE OF SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS WHO RECEIVED THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN, CREATE, AND NETWORK AMONG PEERS. IGREEN SUNNYVALE APP LAUNCH, SVTP HELPED THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE TO LAUNCH THE IGREEN SUNNYVALE APP AT A COMMUNITY EVENT AND RECRUITED VOLUNTEERS TO PROGRAM MANAGE THE COMMUNICATIONS AND THE EVENT. THERE WERE VOLUNTEERS WHO CREATED A CROWD SOURCING WALL AND SOCIAL MEDIA VOLUNTEERS WHO ENGAGED WITH THE COMMUNITY.FREMONT GREEN SUMMIT, MAY 21, 2016 - SVTP HELPED THE CITY OF FREMONT AND 5 ECO-CLUBS FROM THE FREMONT HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOLS TO LAUNCH THE FREMONT GREEN SUMMIT TO HELP TEENAGERS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS TO EXPLORE CAREERS IN ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE FIELDS SUCH AS SOLAR. WE RECRUITED VOLUNTEER KEYNOTE SPEAKERS, PANELISTS, WORKSHOP LEADERS AND SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERTS FROM THE COMMUNITY. WE HAD OVER 10 VOLUNTEERS PUTTING IN OVER 100 HOURS.EASTSIDE SAN JOSE TECHNOVATE, APRIL 9, 2016 - OVER 30 VOLUNTEERS FROM TECH COMPANIES HELPED TO LAUNCH SAN JOSE'S FIRST TECHNOVATE SUMMIT FOR OVER 400 STUDENTS AND FAMILIES IN EAST SIDE. VOLUNTEERS RAN WORKSHOPS, WERE PANELISTS AND ALSO CONDUCTED SPEED MENTORING SESSIONS FOR ALL STUDENTS AND FAMILIES. THEY PUT IN OVER 190 HOURS.CAMPBELL OPEN DATA PROJECT - VOLUNTEERS PUT IN OVER 200 HOURS TO LAUNCH THE GENERAL PLAN APP FOR THE CITY OF CAMPBELL. IOS APP WAS COMPLETED IN 2015. THE CITY OF CAMPBELL WILL UTILIZE THIS APP IN 2016 AND ONWARDS TO CLEARLY EXPLAIN THE PROGRESS AND PROCESS OF THE CAMPBELL GENERAL PLAN. 2016 INAUGURAL FOOD RESCUE FORUM , MARCH 24, 2016 - HELPED TO ORGANIZE SPEAKERS, MODERATORS, PANELISTS, FACILITATORS, SCRIBES, AND VOLUNTEERS TOGETHER TO SPEND A DAY BRAINSTORMING NOVEL SOLUTIONS TO END HUNGER AND FOOD WASTE IN SILICON VALLEY. KPMG CAREER EXPLORATION DAY, JANUARY 29, 2016 - SILICON VALLEY TALENT PARTNERSHIP AND NETWORK FOR TEACHING ENTREPRENEURSHIP JOINED FORCES TO BRING 60 STUDENTS FROM 5 HIGH SCHOOLS FROM THE EAST BAY TO KPMG IN SILICON VALLEY IN ORDER TO HELP THEM FOCUS ON PERSONAL BRAND, RESUME BUILDING, AND ENSURE BEST PRACTICES IN SOCIAL MEDIA. SAN JOSE SUMMER SOLAR ACADEMY, JULY 25-29, 2016 - PARTNERED WITH SUNPOWER CORPORATION, SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY, AND THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS OF SAN JOSE AND EAST SIDE UNION TO COORDINATE A 5-DAY SOLAR ENERGY SUMMER EXPERIENCE FOR SELECT INCOMING JUNIORS AND SENIORS. THE ACADEMY WITH PROVIDE STUDENTS AN IN DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF RESIDENTIAL PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM DESIGN AND INSTALLATION.
