Sunday Friends Foundation (the "Organization") incorporated in California in 1999, is a nonprofit public benefit organization formed to empower families to break the generational cycle of poverty by fostering positive development in children while educating and guiding parents to support their children's life success. Within the weekly programs, children and parents work together to learn, earn and serve the community. The Organization provides a safe place for very low-income families to come together with volunteers in a secular community setting.

In 2019, 359 children and 358 adults, a total of 717 unduplicated participants were provided opportunities to earn necessities and childrens wish list items like bicycles and school supplies, while promoting self-reliance and healthy active lifestyles as they gave back to the community. Group activities and meetings with volunteers are held on Sundays. Programs are designed to foster child development. The development of parental involvement combined with take-home projects ensure that the practice of positive life skills will continue throughout the week. Program services include assistance with literary and craft service projects, instruction on cooking and providing nutritious meals, leadership of hands-on STEM learning activities, computer education, hands-on help with literacy activities, assistance with the management and "spending" of earned tickets (the currency of the program) and more. Volunteers and outside speakers provide guidance to low income families on life skills such as effective parenting, the path to college, health and nutrition, stress management, violence prevention, financial literacy, legal rights, English translation, and other. In 2019, program services were held at Santee Elementary, LoweII Elementary, and Meadows Elementary schools in which the Organization receives in-kind rent.
