Organizations Filed Purposes:
To honor and hold dear those who willingly defend our freedoms, and to serve their families - especially the children - by providing quality, caring and meaningful programs that nurture and enrich their social, emotional, and physical well being.
Troop/Family Morale & Welfare: The program serves to bolster morale, and provide comfort/care packages to active duty military personnel and their families. 2463 comfort/care packages were given to active duty personnel. Many of these packages were given to those in quarantine due to Covid-19. In addition, troops and families received 320 lbs of coffee, 2094 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, 77 PPE leggings, 475 bars of scented soap, 574 masks plus countless dozens of homebaked goods and more than 1,000 handwritten cards. Recipients: Sailors and Corpsman of NBHCP, Marines and families stationed at MCBCP, plus Coast Guard personnel and their families at CG Sectors San Diego & Los Angeles/Long Beach.
Christmas: the program serves to alleviate the families' financial burdens that come with the holidays, and to bring joy to the children. A total of 2798 military children whose parents are currently stationed at MCB Camp Pendleton and surrounding military communities, including Coast Guard children at CG Sectors San Diego & LA/LB received toys, stocking stuffers, as well as gift cards. 500 single Marines from 1st Battalion 11th Marines received $20 gift cards. 190 families from 1/11 Bn, 1st Marine Logistics Group, both at Camp Pendleton and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 11, MCAS Miramar received a holiday ham and other food items. The meal boxes were plentiful to feed a family of 6 plus.
Heroes Nite Out Tribute: This program honors our active duty military personnel from all five service branches. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions for large gatherings, the event was cancelled. However, costs were incurred, but thanks to our generous supporters; we were able to recover a good portion of the incurred costs.
