Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of KCCEB is to empower the Korean American and other communities of the Bay Area through education, advocacy, service and the development of community-based resources.

KCCEBS PROGRAMS: A. COMMUNITY HEALTH ACCESS PROGRAM: SOCIAL SERVICES: We provide case management for over 60 seniors, Covered CA enrollment, navigation and support for those who are unable to navigate mainstream systems due to cultural, linguistic and socio-economic barriers. HEALTH EDUCATION: We developed a Tobacco Storytelling Project and and lead Taji and Fall Prevention to Korean- and Chinese-speaking seniors across Alameda County. We continue to be engaged in HEALTH ADVOCACY for quality health care for communities of color. MEAL DELIVERY: We partnered with 7 other Korean organizational partners, World Central Kitchen, over 65 volunteers, and 8 restaurants to provide home delivered meals to over 453 Korean seniors @ 23,000+ meals in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. B. ASIAN COMMUNITY WELLNESS PROGRAM is a program addressing mental health and wellness needs in Korean, Chinese and English. Services include counseling for 12 months, 50+mental health workshops, psychoeducation, trainings and consultations, 80+ mental health screenings and a Jikimee seniors leadership program. DIGITAL TOOLS: We are developing two mobile apps focusing on mental health of small business owners and Chinese caregivers to reduce stress and connect them with local concrete resources. C. IMMIGRATION INTEGRATION PROGRAM: As the only DOJ-accredited Korean agency north of Los Angeles, KCCEB provides no to low cost IMMIGRATION SERVICES TO OVER 650 INDIVIDUAL ANNUALLY. We also present information about immigration, citizenship, public benefits, law/legal rights, voting, and public policy affecting immigrant families. We partnered with KABANC in the Spring of 2020 to provide legal support to individuals and small businesses needing to apply for Unemployment Insurance, Paycheck Protection Program, Small Business Association loans, as well as consultations on workers and tenant protection laws. D. BAY AREA KOREAN INFOLINE (BAKI). Since 2017, KCCEB has offered a toll-free region-wide Korean language information and referral call service to LEP Bay Area Korean Americans who have trouble navigating U.S. public and social systems. We receive over 10,000 calls a year and are a lifeline to LEP Koreans negatively impacted by COVID-19. We made calls to over 550 Korean seniors to provide resources and support during COVID-19.
