NEARLY 40% OF STUDENTS WITHIN THE SAN LUIS COASTAL UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT ARE SOCIOECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED. UNPRECEDENTED SCHOOL CLOSURES HAVE PUT NEW DEMANDS ON STUDENTS, PARENTS AND TEACHERS AS LEARNING MOVED FROM THE CLASSROOM TO THE LIVING ROOM. ACROSS OUR COMMUNITY, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES ARE STRUGGLING WITH THE DIFFICULTIES OF COVID-19. OUR MOST VULNERABLE STUDENTS ARE ESPECIALLY AT-RISK DURING THIS CHALLENGING TIME. THE SCHOOL CLOSURE IMPACT FUND WAS PUT IN PLACE TO HELP THE SCHOOL DISTRICT MEET THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS AND FAMILIES IMPACTED BY COVID-19.
