Organizations Filed Purposes:
Kids & Art Foundation teams up children touched by cancer with local artists. Our mission is to empower these children, enrich, and create memorable experiences.
Hospital Treatment Center Programs held weekly at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, Children's Hospital-Mission Bay, and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. These sessions are lead by artists and take place in the cancer center waiting rooms. Over 1500 families participate in the workshops, along with 38 artists. Volunteers donated over 1200 hours.
Destination art workshops were held at many unique facilities around the Bay Area. These workshops are lead by celebrated artists and were attended by 220 children and caregivers. Destinations included Google, the Walt Disney Family Museum, The DeYoung Museum and the Peninsula Museum of Art.
Exhibitions of artwork created by pediatric cancer patients were held at the University of California, The Palo Art Center, San Francisco Women Artists Gallery, The San Francisco Airport, Art Attack SF, Redwood City Art on the Square, and Youth Open Studios
