Organizations Filed Purposes:
To optimize the clinical care of patients with psoriatic disease through multidisciplinary collaboration, education, and innovative research.
PPACMAN has secured grants to support the Psorcast Project, a study partnership being developed with the design and execution of a digital health study that requires a diverse set of expertise in technology, research, and clinical care to advance knowledge of psoriatic disease while providing an interactive research modality for patients. This principle serves to bring together the diverse teams needed to conduct the work and assures that the resulting research and patient-facing tools will be robust and neutral with regard to any single intervention modality. This pre-competitive approach incentivizes open-source software development and controlled access to de-identified study data by all study partners and data sharing with the wider research community under appropriate conditions and participant consent.
PPACMAN held two meetings in 2019: a meeting adjacent to the GRAPPA annual meeting to recruit more rheumatologists and dermatologists who are interested in developing combined clinics; and the PPACMAN annual meeting held each December to update stakeholders on projects and report on activity by the board of directors.
