The Annual Workday Program mobilizes over 2,500 volunteers to complete beautification projects throughout the community. Sharefest's staff work in close coordination with identified schools, public parks and other sites in the community to plan and design beautification projects that the community has requested. Sharefest's staff coordinate and assemble the volunteers from community groups and businesses willing to provide in-kind donations of material and supplies.
Youth Leadership Academy, which supported the positive development of more than 450 youth through year-round, afterschool and summer activities designed to increase high school graduation and reduce teen violence. Youth engage in a broad range of academic enrichment, leadership development, athletic, art, and community-service activities. Participants develop a network of supportive peers and are linked to mentors who model success and nurture their leadership qualities.
