Organizations Filed Purposes: A broad based network of local institutions - congregations, synagogues, non-profits and civic associations - that serve as a foundation for public relationships, leadership development and action around issues that affect our communities.

In 2020, BAOC trained leaders in Marin, Solano, Napa, Alameda, Santa Clara, and San Mateo counties on how to engage effectively in civic life, holding multiple leadership development trainings throughout the year. BAOC worked to strengthen relationships between families across lines of difference, and educated families about the impacts of public policy on issues affecting families in these communities, particularly as they navigated the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on their daily lives and work. Issues included housing, mental health care, support for older adults, and the economic impacts of COVID-19.
