2019 TERMIS-AM CONDUCTED ITS ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN ORLANDO, FL AT THE LOEWS SAPPHIRE FALLS RESORT FROM DECEMBER 2-5. TISSUE ENGINEERING AND REGENERATIVE MEDICINE IS UNIQUE SPACE THAT CONTINUES TO PUSH THE BOUNDARIES OF CLINICAL THERAPIES. EXCITING PRODUCTS ARE EMERGING IN THE CLINIC, WHILE PRECLINICAL RESEARCH IS DEVELOPING INNOVATIVE APPROACHES THAT EXHIBIT SUBSTANTIAL PROMISE. AS A WORLD-LEADING, INTERACTIVE COMMUNITY IN THE FIELD FOR WELL OVER A DECADE, TERMIS PROVIDES AN IDEAL VENUE TO DELIVER A COMPREHENSIVE UPDATE ON THESE ENDEAVORS.THE THEME OF THE CONFERENCE: TRANSVERSAL, TRANSLATIONAL AND TRANSFORMATIVE. TERMIS-AM AWARDS PROGRAM RECOGNIZES INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED IMMENSELY TO THE FIELD OF TISSUE ENGINEERING AND REGENERATIVE MEDICINE - LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD, SENIOR SCIENTIST AWARD, YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD, EDUCATIONAL AWARD, AND THE MARY ANN LIEBERT INC. TERMIS-AM CONTINUED ITS MEMEBERSHIP TO THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE FOR MEDICAL AND BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING (AIMBE)'S COUNCIL OF SOCIEITES. AIMBE'S COS PROVIDES A COLLABORATIVE FORUM FOR SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATIONS IN MEDICAL AND BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING, ENCOURAGES INTERSOCIETY DIALOGUE AND OFFERS A WAY FOR THE COORDINATION OF ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE COS ORGANIZATION. TERMIS-AM IS A MEMBER OF THE ALLIANCE FOR REGENERATIVE MEDICINE (ARM). ARM'S MISSION IS TO ADVANCE REGENERATIVE MEDICINE BY REPRESENTING, SUPPORTING AND ENGAGING ALL STAKEHOLDERS IN THE FIELD, INCLUDING COMPANIES, ACADEMIC RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS, PATIENT ADVOCACY GROUPS, FOUDATIONS, HEALTH INSURERS, FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS.
