The mission of Casa Familiar allows the dignity, power, and worth within individuals and families to flourish, by enhancing the quality of life through education, advocacy, service programming, housing and community economic development.
Community service and support through programs including affordable housing, social services, counseling services, youth services through recreation centers and a teen center, public fitness center, computer training center, and job training.
Casa Familiar is the general managing partner for approximately 1,200 affordable housing units in Southern San Diego. Casa runs and hosts at least 50 programs/activities throughout the year and addresses community needs with a holisitc approach.
Casa Familiar aquired and rehabilitated three apartment buildings in National City, which are being rented to low income families at below market rent. Casa Familiar is involved in other redevelopment projects in the Southern San Diego.
