Organizations Filed Purposes:
Provide educational enrichment opportunities in STEM, Arts, and Making education for under-served students, teachers, pre-service students, and professors in San joaquin Valley schools, districts, and colleges. Program services include youth development activities in gang/drug prevention, avoidance strategies, and youth leadership.
Grants (Measure S) over last 12 months include two annual allocations (July 1-June 30). Supporting positive youth development programs with high school interns in workforce development and leadership. Training to support intergenerational mentoring with younger students in STEAM and Making activities in the community science workshop, music studios, and art studio. Wonderful company grant to support 10-week virtual summer STEM camp for youth in Del Rey, CA. This program required several adjustments due to COVID-19 impacts beginning March 2020.
