Organizations Filed Purposes: THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS TO TEACH AND TRAIN STUDENTS AND THOSE WHO TEACH AND TRAIN STUDENTS TO HELP STUDENTS KNOW TRUTH, PURSUE GOODNESS AND CREATE BEAUTY, THROUGH DEVELOPING A TEAM OF SPEAKERS, VIRTUAL TRAINING, LIVE CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS, AND IMMERSIVE MISSION TRIPS.

There is a tremendous need to communicate the truth to today's students face-to-face, in a language they can actually understand. MAVEN is meeting that need through live speaking events, as well as developing our own conferences for students and adults. The objective of each Live Event is to equip students, parents and youth leaders with the truth of Christ in relevant and engaging ways, so they can navigate the challenges of culture. Service accomplishments in this area in the past fiscal year include: -Brett spoke to youth and parents in thirteen different states across the U.S. including: CO, CA, GA, NY, AZ, HI, TN, AL, IA, and TX. -Erin spoke to parents in California and Texas -Completed our second MAVEN adult conference in Orange County, California, on February 28-29, with approximately 375 people in attendance. We will continue to host this conference in Southern California on an annual basis, with the next conference scheduled for February 26-27, 2021. Once the Covid-19 lockdown hit, event after event was cancelled, including five large homeschool conventions across the country, five Summit student conferences, two Impact 360 student conferences and a host of other events. Not only did it result in a loss of ministry impact, it also cut off an important source of funding for our ministry.

MAVEN has developed a unique approach to mission trips, creating a one-of-a-kind training experience that immerses students in real-life apologetics, theology, worldview and evangelism. We custom-build interactive trips to Berkeley, California, to Salt Lake City, Utah, and in other U.S. locations. These immersive experiences are utterly unique...and life-changing. The objective of each Immersive Experience is to provide students with real life experiences that allow them to engage the Christian worldview at much deeper and yet very practical levels. During the first half of our fiscal year we conducted the following trips: -Worldview IE with the high school ministry of Grace Fellowship Church from Jul 12-16 -Biblical IE with the gap year students from the Impact 360 Institute from Sep 22-26 We had big plans for our 2020 Immersive Experience (IE) program. MAVEN was scheduled to take nine different groups on our one-of-a-kind IEs. Thankfully, we were able to lead a group of college students and leaders from a national organization, Ratio Christi, on the Biblical IE during the first week of March. Again, God granted us His favor, allowing us to complete the trip before the national lockdown. And what an amazing trip it was, as the students and staff not only grew in their knowledge of biblical truth, but in their passion for the Great Commission. Indeed, the group had the privilege of leading one ex-Mormon to Christ! However, in response to the lockdowns, six of the nine groups were forced to postpone or cancel their IEs this year.

The Covid-19 lockdown significantly impaired our ability to have an impact through our Live Events and Immersive Experiences. However, it provided an opportunity to put the necessary time and manpower into the development of our virtual training. And pivot we did. -Two weeks after the start of the lockdown, MAVEN partnered with the Colson Center to host a free 5-day webinar on worldview and culture. With parents and students confined to their homes, we were able to reach them through their screens. The response was phenomenal with more than 7,000 people participating. -MAVEN has hosted free livestream events to equip parents and leaders through Facebook and our YouTube channel. -We have hosted our first paid webinar, which also generated some additional funds for the ministry. We tackled five tough questions students face in this culture. -We continue to produce the MAVEN Parent Podcast (you can view all of the episodes at www.maventruth.com/podcast). -In addition, we've partnered with numerous groups and organizations for online events and training over the last six months.
