THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSES OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS TO PROMOTE THE DOWNTOWN SANTA ANA BUSINESSES. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY HAVING PUBLIC EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THAT DRAW THE COMMUNITY INTO THE AREA. FAMILY EVENTS ALONG WITH LIVE MUSIC ON WEEKENDS WITHIN THE AREA ESTABLISHED AS BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR DOWNTOWN SANTA ANA.
THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO PROVIDE A MARKETING STAGE PROMOTING THE IMAGE OF DOWNTOWN SANTA ANA AS THE CENTER OF COMMERCE, CULTURE AND COMMUNITY LIFE, TO ALL PROSPECTS INCLUDING SHOPPERS,INVESTORS, NEW BUSINESSES AND VISITORS THROUGH ADVERTISING, RETAIL PROMOTIONS, SPECIAL EVENTS AND MARKETING CAMPAIGNS. LISTED BELOW ARE SOME OF THE PROGRAMS AND EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.ART ROUNDTABLES/REGISTRY REACHES OUT AND FACILITATES TO ARTISTIC TALENT(ARTISTS, MUSICIANS, DANCERS) IN THE AREA TO PROMOTE THEIR SERVICES, HENCEPROVIDING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. BUSKING CHALLENGE (A PLATFORM FOR MUSICIANS TO SHOW OFF THEIR TALENTS AS ARTIST'S). EVENTS HELD THE FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH: DANCING IN THE STREET, KIDS BUSINESS FAIR (DESIGNED TO MOTIVATE ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN CHILDREN), FLASH/MOB SPIRT AWARD (HIGH SCHOOL DANCE TEAMS PARTICIPATE), CLASSICAL MUSIC AT THE PLAZA (HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS) AWARDS ARE GIVEN TO THE HIGH SCHOOL DANCE TEAMS AND MUSICIANS WHO PARTICIATE, DRUM CIRCLES - ONCE A MONTH PROVIDES A PLACE FOR PERFORMERS TO DISPLAY THEIR MUSICAL TALENTS. EVENTS HELD EVERY WEEKEND: CLOWNS, FACE PAINTING, MUSIC, DANCING, BALLOON TWISITING AND LOTERIA EVERY SUNDAY FOR THE FAMILIES TO ENJOY A DAY STROLLING IN THE DOWNTOWN SANTA ANA AREA. BOCA DE ORO FESTIVAL- TO SHOWCASES THE DIVERSITY OF ORANGE COUNTY LITERARY ARTISTS SCENE, THE FESTIVAL EMPHASIZES LOCAL DIVERSITY, FREE TO EVERYONE.THIS EVENT HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL. PARTICIPATED ALONG WITH OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS: THE DAY OF THE DEAD CELEBRATION. AS WELL AS THE "SAVOR SANTA ANA EVENT" WHICH FEATURES RESTAURANTS SHOWCASING THEIR FOODS. THESE EVENTS HAVE BROUGHT IN MANY SHOPPERS TO THE DOWNTOWN SANTA ANA BUSINESS AREA TO HELP THE BUSINESSES SELL MERCHANDISE AS WELL AS PROMOTING THE RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA. ALL THE EVENTS ARE VERY FESTIVE PROVIDING DANCING, FOOD, ENTERTAINMENT AND GAMES TO THE ATTENDEES.
