THE 2019 LECTURE REACHED 100 PEOPLE PLUS THOUSANDS MORE THROUGH THE VIDEO.SADAKO PEACE DAY IS AN ANNUAL EVENT HELD IN SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA TO COMMEMORATE THE VICTIMS OF THE ATOMIC BOMBINGS OF HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI, AND ALL INNOCENT VICTIMS OF WAR. THE 2019 EVENT REACHED OVER 100 PEOPLE.NAPF'S PRIMARY WEBSITES, WAGINGPEACE.ORG, NUCLEARFILES.ORG, AND PEACELITERACY.ORG, CONTAIN VAST AMOUNTS OF INFORMATION RELATING TO BOTH CONTEMPORARY AND HISTORICAL ISSUES OF THE NUCLEAR AGE, AS WELL AS EXTENSIVE PEACE LITERACY CURRICULUM AND ASSOCIATED RESOURCES. IN 2019, THE WEBSITES WERE VISITED BY OVER 400,000 UNIQUE USERS.THE SUNFLOWER E-NEWSLETTER IS A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER ON NUCLEAR ISSUES THAT REACHES OVER 80,000 PEOPLE BY EMAIL.

PEACE LITERACYPEACE LITERACY IS A GROWING MOVEMENT OF EDUCATORS AND CONCERNED CITIZENS WHO EMPOWER PEOPLE WITH THE TRAINING, SKILLS, AND UNDERSTANDING NEEDED TO HEAL THE ROOT CAUSES OF OUR PROBLEMS, RATHER THAN MERELY ADDRESSING SURFACE SYMPTOMS. WE TREAT PEACE AS A LITERACY THAT NEEDS TO BE LEARNED, JUST LIKE READING, WRITING, AND MATHEMATICS. WE OFFER EXTENSIVE CURRICULUM MODULES FOR TEACHERS OF ALL LEVELS, AND TRAIN THEM IN THEIR EFFECTIVE USE.NAPF WORKS CLOSELY WITH EDUCATORS AROUND THE UNITED STATES TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT PEACE LITERACY CURRICULUM. WE PARTNER WITH THE PHRONESIS LAB AT OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY TO DEVELOP CONTENT FOR WORKSHOPS AND CURRICULUM.
