Organizations Filed Purposes:
San Marcos Kids Helping Kids Foundation is a student-run nonprofit organization based at San Marcos High School. We raise money through events during the year in order to give money back to local, global organizations and disadvantaged youth. The successful production of events is also a part of our mission. Students gain leadership, organizational, negotiation, fiscal responsibility, and management skills through the operations of The Foundation. In the fiscal year end 6/30/2020, the Foundation was on hiatus and had very limited activity.
In the past, San Marcos Kids Helping Kids in Santa Barbara provided funds to assist impoverished children and children from low-income homes. Our donations to qualified individuals, 501(c)(3) organizations and schools funded: children and families currently battling pediatric cancer, music and vocal programs for students; backpacks, laptops and school supplies for college-bound impoverished children in California; rehabilitation, medical treatment, and education for young women and children from Mumbai, India Red Light District; financial support to families facing extreme emergencies in California, financial support for first-generation college-bound students through AVID; and financial support for a low-income student paralyzed in an accident.
