Organizations Filed Purposes:
The purpose of the Association is to protect and improve public health, advocate for the medical profession, participate in and support the California Medical Association and to foster collegiality.
Through its programs, the SBCMS/CCMA primarily offers educational services to its physician members. Some of these programs include continuing medical education courses, physician office practices workshops and seminars. A magazine, Central Coast Physicians, is distributed four times per year. A membership directory is published every two years with information about all the Association's members. General membership meetings are held periodically to provide educational speakers and subjects relevant to the membership.A physican referral service is provided as a community service to assist local residents with general health care information and with information about physicians' training and medical backgrounds as they seek to find a physician to provide services.
