Organizations Filed Purposes: THE WOMEN'S FUND OF SANTA BARBARA (WFSB) IS AN INDEPENDENT NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION, THE SUCCESSOR TO TWO FIELD OF INTEREST FUNDS OF THE SANTA BARBARA FOUNDATION. OVER THE PAST 15 YEARS, WFSB GREW TO INVOLVE OVER 1,100 MEMBERS, DISTRIBUTING GRANTS OF MORE THAN $7.2 MILLION. DURING THE 2019 TRANSITION TO INDEPENDENCE, RESPONSIBILITY FOR AND OWNERSHIP OF FINANCIAL ASSETS WERE TRANSFERRED FROM SBF TO WFSB. THESE TRANSFERS ARE RECORDED AS GRANTS FROM SBF, TOTALING $375,000 IN OPERATING FUNDS AND $391,863 IN ENDOWMENT FUNDS. THE MISSION OF THE WOMEN'S FUND REMAINS THE SAME: TO ENABLE WOMEN TO COMBINE THEIR CHARITABLE DOLLARS, PROVIDING SIGNIFICANT GRANTS FOCUSED ON THE NEEDS OF WOMEN, CHILDREN, AND FAMILIES IN SOUTH SANTA BARBARA COUNTY.

THE WOMEN'S FUND OF SANTA BARBARA IS A VOLUNTEER-LED COLLECTIVE DONOR ORGANIZATION THAT ENABLES WOMEN TO COMBINE OUR CHARITABLE DOLLARS INTO SIGNIFICANT GRANTS ADDRESSING THE CRITICAL NEEDS OF WOMEN, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN SOUTH SANTA BARBARA COUNTY.THE WOMEN'S FUND EDUCATES AND INSPIRES WOMEN TO ENGAGE IN MAKING LASTING CHANGE IN OUR COMMUNITY.

THE WOMEN'S FUND IS COMMITTED TO BUILDING A LARGE COMMUNITY OF EDUCATED, STRATEGIC GIVERS INSPIRED TO MAKE LASTING CHANGE IN OUR COMMUNITY. THE WOMEN'S FUND PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ITS MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC TO LEARN ABOUT THE NEEDS OF WOMEN, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN SOUTH SANTA BARBARA COUNTY. DURING 2019, THE WOMEN'S FUND HELD 12 EDUCATION FORUMS, ATTENDED BY 542 INDIVIDUALS:GRANTS IN ACTION FORUM - HOMELESSNESS AND THE WORKING POORGRANTS IN ACTION FORUM - MITIGATING ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCESGRANTS IN ACTION FORUM - HOLISTIC DEFENSE SITE VISITS (4) ALPHA RESOURCE CENTERSITE VISITS (5) SARAH HOUSE

GRANTS TO AGENCIES: THE WOMEN'S FUND MADE NO GRANTS IN 2019 AS AN INDEPENDENT NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION. GRANTS TO AGENCIES WILL BE DISTRIBUTED IN MAY 2020. THE GRANTS DISTRIBUTED IN MAY 2019 WERE MADE FROM THE SANTA BARBARA FOUNDATION FIELD OF INTEREST FUND.
