PREP PROGRAMMING REACHES OVER 35,000 STUDENT ATHLETES EACH YEAR, WITH MORE THAN 60% PARTICIPATION COMING FROM TITLE 1 SITES. -- DIRECT FUNDS TO 49ERS ACADEMY IN SUPPORT OF EAST PALO STUDENTS TO ENGAGE THEM IN SCHOOL TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL, AND ACHIEVE ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL SUCCESS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL AND BEYOND. -- DIRECT FUNDS TO THE 49ERS STEM LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE, A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SILICON VALLEY EDUCATION FOUNDATION, AND THE SANTA CLARA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, TO PROVIDE SANTA CLARA STUDENTS WITH THE RESOURCES TO BE OUTSTANDING. THE 49ERS FOUNDATION AIMS TO INSPIRE AND PREPARE ITS STUDENTS TO PURSUE STEM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, MATHEMATICS) AND TO BECOME THE FUTURE LEADERS IN THEIR FIELDS.-- DIRECT FUNDS TO FRESH LIFELINES FOR YOUTH (FLY) TO SUPPORT THE PREVENTION OF JUVENILE CRIME AND INCARCERATION THROUGH LEGAL EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP TRAINING, AND ONE-ON-ONE MENTORING.-- DIRECT FUNDS TO CITY YEAR SAN JOSE TO UTILIZE AMERICORPS VOLUNTEERS TO MOVE UNDERPERFORMING STUDENTS ALONG THEIR EDUCATIONAL CONTINUUM TO 10TH GRADE READINESS IN ENGLISH/LANGUAGE ARTS AND MATH SO THEY GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL.-- DIRECT FUNDS TO TIPPING POINT COMMUNITY TO FIGHT POVERTY IN THE BAY AREA FOR THE 1.3 MILLION PEOPLE TOO POOR TO MEET THEIR BASIC NEEDS.-- DIRECT FUNDS TO THE CENTER FOR YOUTH WELLNESS TO REVOLUTIONIZE PEDIATRIC MEDICINE AND TRANSFORM THE WAY SOCIETY RESPONDS TO KIDS EXPOSED TO SIGNIFICANT ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES AND TOXIC STRESS.
