FoodWhat?! is a youth empowerment and food justice organization. Here youth engage in relationships with land, food, and each other in ways that are grounded in love and justice. We provide meaningful space where youth define and cultivate their empowerment, liberation, wellbeing.
Youth from Watsonville to Santa Cruz join the FoodWhat Crew through Spring Internships, Summer Jobs, Fall Project Management Positions, and leading big community events on the farm. FoodWhat creates a safe space where youth experience radical diet change, critical job training, and the opportunity to define and step into their own power and success. FoodWhat teens find their voices and develop lasting confidence in themselves resulting in profound personal growth and transformation. FoodWhat serves 70+ youth in our core programs, 100+ youth through in-school peer to peer Community Education programming, 500-600 youth through our two major events held in concert with local school districts, and an additional few hundred community members through our low-income farm stands.
