ADMINISTRATIVE -RECEIVED A 100,000 GRANT FROM SANTA CLARA COUNTY TO CONSTRUCT PHASE ONE OF AN ELECTRICAL POWER UPGRADE AT OLD FIRE STATION ONE -SUBMITTED A 200,000 HISTORIC GRANT APPLICATION FOR PHASE 2 & 3 OF THE ELECTRICAL POWER UPGRADE AT OLD FIRE STATION ONE -NEGOTIATED WITH THE CITY OF SAN JOSE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE D1 WAREHOUSE AT THE CITY CORPORATION YARD FOR OUR HISTORIC COLLECTION -RECEIVED A 1,000,000 PRIVATE DONATION COMMITMENT FROM A RETIRED SAN JOSE FIREFIGHTER -THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ADOPTED NEW BY LAWS -THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS DRAFTED A NEW STRATEGIC PLAN TO COVER THE NEXT 3 YEARS -RECEIVED A 10,000 GRANT FROM THE FARRINGTON FOUNDATION FOR A SPECIAL MUSEUM EXHIBIT TITLED: "THE FIRE ENGINE THAT SAVED SAN JOSE" -WORKED WITH SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY MARKETING CLASS STUDENTS TO DEVELOP A SAN JOSE FIRE MUSEUM MARKETING PLAN HISTORIC FIRE APPARATUS; TOOLS & EQUIPMENT - ACQUISITION, RESTORATION AND DISPLAY -COMPLETED 95% OF THE RESTORATION OF OUR HISTORIC 1954 GMC FIRE ENGINE -REORGANIZED OUR WAREHOUSE SPACE TO ALLOW ADDITIONAL FIRE APPARATUS STORAGE FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS -INSTALLED NEW GAS HEATERS COVERING THE APPARATUS FLOOR AREA AND THE KITCHEN/DINING ROOM AT OLD FIRE STATION ONE -INSTALLED A NEW SOUND SYSTEM IN THE DOWNSTAIRS AREA OF OLD FIRE STATION ONE -INSTALLED SOUND PROOFING PANELS ON THE CEILING OF THE APPARATUS FLOOR AREA AT OLD FIRE STATION ONE -STARTED THE PHASE ONE POWER UPGRADE OF OLD FIRE STATION ONE WHICH INCLUDES INITIAL DESIGN WORK WITH PG&E AND AN UNDERGROUND TOPO SURVEY -COMPLETED DESIGN WORK AND PERMIT APPROVAL BY CITY OF SAN JOSE FOR THE STEEL AWNING IN THE REAR YARD AT OLD FIRE STATION ONE COMMUNITY OUTREACH -PROVIDED OLD FIRE STATION ONE FOR 3 SAN JOSE FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL EVENTS -WENT INTO THE COMMUNITY TO PROVIDE HISTORIC SJFM FIRE APPARATUS FOR 4 EVENTS -HOSTED THE 100TH BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR RETIRED SJFD FIRE CAPTAIN SAM SEIBERT -RENTED OUT OLD FIRE STATION ONE TO 3 PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS FOR EVENT USE -HOSTED 8 COMMUNITY NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGS
