THE ARTS AND HEALING INITIATIVE TRANSFORMS LIVES THROUGH CREATIVE EXPRESSION BY INTEGRATING THE INNATE BENEFITS OF THE ARTS WITH MENTAL HEALTH PRACTICES FOR SELF-DISCOVERY, CONNECTION AND EMPOWERMENT.

Major accomplishments we have made good use of our COVID year: Converted all signature programming into virtual programming and discovered exponential increase in demand for our programming from all over the nation and world. Signature programs:Certificate Program in Social Emotional Arts (58.5 hours of training) Social Emotional Arts on a Shoestring (13 hours of training) Beat the Odds: Social and Emotional Skill Building Delivered in a Framework of Drumming (5 hours of training)Two workshops offered rotationally for free on a quarterly basis, based on our book The Innovative Parent. One on Raising Connected, Happy, Successful Kids through Art and the other on Helping Kids Manage Stress and Anxiety through Art. (1.5 hours each)Dance for All (6 hours of training)Creative Rituals for Processing Loss and Celebrating Life workshop (3 hours)We piloted a new training: Awe and Gratitude for Healing, Renewal, and Social Action (8 hours of training)Initiated a free bi-weekly/monthly HOPE Series to support the resilience of the global community while serving as an excellent outreach tool. Instructors have been teaching pro bono and recordings are available to the public for viewing.
