In 2019, JJTC was hired by Kanye West to choreograph and coordinate the dance elements for his Opera series. This was a three month project where JJTC hired over 25 artists and traveled across the country to perform. JJTC also was hired by clothing line Entireworld for a social media campaign, production company Kissd for a video in partnership with Adidas, and artist Liam Young for a new short film.
PresentationsJacob Jonas The Company (JJTC) is presented by theaters and performing arts centers across the country. In 2019, JJTC was presented at Kahilu Theater in Waimea, Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului, University of Hawaii Hilo in Hilo, California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, the Old Town Temecula Community Theater and Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. For each presentation JJTC shared an hour and a half long program of original repertory.
To the Sea Dance FestivalJacob Jonas The Company (JJTC) annually produces a free dance festival on the Santa Monica Pier presenting local, national and international artists. The 2019 festival presented 14 artists/companies and had two different programs over three evenings. JJTC builds a custom stage on the West End of the Pier, supports the artists with presenting fees and assists with travel support for out of town artists
