Organizations Filed Purposes:
Promote the development, education & well being of boys in Santa Monica and West Los Angeles between the ages of 10-20 through a variety of educational and charitable programs
Provided outdoor & wilderness experiences for boys and trained leaders (120 in total 5 weekends in 2019-20. Due to COVID-19, no summercamp was held. Largest expense was $14,795 to cover the cost of 5 weekends of wilderness camping including hiking, backpacking and skiing.
Other program service expenses include $5669 in rent for meetings and activities, $750 for website expenses and $8138 for dues to the National Boy Scouts of America for registration.
Taught camping, emergency preparedness & lifesaving skills at no cost to 60 boys and 20 adult leaders in the troop. Provided educational opportunities and life skills to 60 boys who earned over 250 merit badges. Provided 3 scholarships to graduating seniors to further their education. Largest expense was $1500 for merit badges and Court of awards.
