HOMELESS DAY AND OVERNIGHT SHELTERS - CATHOLIC CHARITIES OPERATED THE FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER (138 PEOPLE PER NIGHT - PARENTS AND CHILDREN), SAMUEL L. JONES HALL (213 PEOPLE PER NIGHT - NO CHILDREN), PROJECT NIGHTINGALE (26 BEDS FOR MEDICALLY REFERRED INDIVIDUALS), AND THE HOMELESS SERVICES CENTER, A DAY-TIME DROP-IN CENTER WITH OVERNIGHT TRANSITIONAL RESIDENCY PROGRAM FOR UP TO 10 VOLUNTEERS/CLIENTS (REFERRALS, COUNSELING, TELEPHONE, SHOWERS AND LAUNDRY). RELATED PROGRAMS INCLUDE ONE-ON-ONE COUNSELING AND CASE MANAGEMENT FOR FAMILY AND WAGE-EARNER GOAL SETTING, SAVINGS FOR THE FUTURE HOME AND TRANSPORTATION, AND SETTING HEALTH (SMOKING CESSATION) AND PARENTING GOALS, AND MORE.THIS PROGRAM SERVED 2,660 PERSONS.

HOUSE PROGRAMS - CATHOLIC CHARITIES IS A HUD-CERTIFIED HOUSING COUNSELING AGENCY. IT PROVIDED INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING ON RENTAL ISSUES, OCCUPANCY PROBLEMS, AND ATTAINING SECTION 8 HOUSING. IT HOUSED AROUND 250 PEOPLE PER NIGHT. TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAMS OFFERED ONE TO TWO YEARS OF TRANSITIONAL HOUSING IN SANTA ROSA WHICH OFFERED A ONE-TO-TWO YEAR TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES PROGRAM FOR SINGLE MOTHERS.) ADDITIONALLY OUR RAPID RE-HOUSING PROGRAM PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP RE-HOUSE INDIVIDUALS QUICKLY AS WELL AS PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS ONCE THEY ARE HOUSED. ONE NEW PROGRAM WE HAVE STARTED IN THE LAST YEAR WAS THE PALMS INN WHICH IS A 104 UNIT MOTEL THAT WAS CONVERTED INTO PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR VETERANS AND CHRONICALLY HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS. CATHOLIC CHARITIES MANAGES 44 OF THE UNITS FOR CHRONICALLY HOMELESS AND PROVIDES THE 24/7 STAFF SUPPORT FOR THE VETERANS AS WELL. THIS PROGRAM SERVED 397 PERSONS.

COMMUNITY AND PARISH SERVICES (CPS) - CPS PROVIDES HEALTH EDUCATION AND ENROLLMENT ASSISTANCE FOR PUBLIC NUTRITION AND MEDICAL BENEFITS IN SONOMA, LAKE, NAPA AND MENDOCINO COUNTIES. SUPPORTING SERVICES INCLUDE FINANCIAL EDUCATION AND COACHING, INCOME TAX PREPARATION FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITY RESOURCE REFERRALS.
