The Sausalito Womans Club focuses on civic involvement, social and conservation causes.
The Sausalito Womans Clubhouse is on the national Register of Historic Places. It was designed by Julia Morgan and built in 1918. It is a wonderful meeting place for the community, and the club did 11 Docent Tours for people interested in the buildings architecture and history, several weddings, local theater and poetry events. The building is now 100 years old and many club members focus on maintaining the clubhouse for the benefit of the club members and the community.
The Club supports the community and makes grants for education, health, welfare and the environment. Each month we give small grants to needy organizations and have a committee evaluating local needs, including, soup kitchens, faith -based churches, and children of incarcerated parents.
