The Sebastopol Area Senior Center is a vital and treasured community resource, that: encourages independence for seniors, providing learning, social, and recreational opportunities; promotes active and healthy lifestyles; provides resources and referrals for seniors, their family members, caregivers and friends; and helps the greater community understand the aging process and the issues that surround that process.
For the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2020, the Sebastopol Area Senior Center had participation in the following programs: 2,300 for Fitness and Exercise Classes 1,519 for Educational Class and Lectures 1,659 for Social/Recreation 2,300 for Social Services 252 for Day Trips/Excursions 1,250 for Just Visiting 6,000 meals were served in-houseStarting April 1 thru June 30, post-COVID shut down: 1,150 seniors were served with online exercise and social programs 6,400 meals were delivered to seniors in-need (nearly 800 per week)Our volunteer drivers also provided 6,420 rides to seniors who are no longer able to drive.
