Treasures is a unique, faith-based outreach and support group for women in the sex industry, including victims of commercialized sexual exploitation and trafficking. Our mission is to encourage women through the discovery of their value and purpose by providing spiritual inspiration, mentorship, trauma recovery, and other services to guide them on their healing journey.
Treasures' mission is to reach, restore, and equip women in the sex industry and victims of sex trafficking to live healthy, flourishing lives, and train others to do the same across the globe.
OUTREACH & TRAINING - Our outreach efforts are focused on strip clubs, juvenile detention centers, the porn industry and in online forums where women and girls are exploited and solicited for sex. Each year, Treasures reaches thousands of women working in 100 strip clubs and the porn industry in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. We give them gift bags filled with cosmetics, jewelry and the simple message that they are loved, valued and purposed, and that support is available to them. We bring this same message of hope to commercially sexually exploited children (CSEC) during our outreaches in juvenile detention centers, as well as in online forums, and to an HIV testing site for women in porn. Furthermore, we provide training and mentoring to leaders across the globe in order to equip them to develop sex industry outreaches in their community. We have helped train and launch more than 100 outreaches on 6 continents.
CARE PROGRAM - Treasures hosts a weekly, survivor-led support group, 40 weeks out of the year which is open any woman who has been in the industry or is currently working in the industry. Additionally, Treasures provides mentoring, support, referrals and individualized care packages filled with books and resources to over 200 women who contact us each year. Our annual "care retreat", led by a spiritual formation director, provides an opportunity for women to come together in community, to connect with other women/survivors and to deepen their faith. Partnerships are built with other churches and organizations (including the outreaches we have trained and mobilized) in order to work together in our efforts to equip and empower women through a nationwide network of support. We also partner with Two Wings, to empower the women we serve to identify and pursue their dream vocation through life skills classes and career training workshops, creating the path for a life of independence and financial sustainability.
SUPPORT TO OTHER GROUPS - Treasures provides donations to multiple nonprofits whose missions are providing assistance in the areas of hunger, orphans, vulnerable women and human trafficking.
