Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau Incorporated (TCVB) is a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation, organized November 23, 1983, under the laws of the State of California and under Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code and operates under the name Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau. TCVB was formed by an organizing committee consisting of the Tuolumne County Lodging Association, the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce, the Highway 120 Association, and the Sonora Pass Vacationland Association. TCVB is the designated Destination Marketing Organization for promoting Tuolumne County and the Yosemite Gold Country to visitors on a regional, statewide, national, and global level with a focus on historical towns, four-season recreation, arts and theater, farms, wineries, and accommodations. The Groveland Visitors Center is seasonal from May to November where Yosemite Park Employees sell park passes throughout the summer. Staff greet guests, make hotel reservations and referrals, help plan trips, and distribute literature. The Visitors Bureau also supports the Yosemite National Park Ranger Program. Daily operations include: 1. Strong emphasis on personal service is extended to all visitors. 2.800 toll-free information and service phone line. 3. Personal reservation and attraction bookings by staff. 4. Timely material fulfillment. 5. Customized itineraries and maps; County-wide Calendar of Events. 6. Timely response to media requests. 7. Frequent contact with travel trade representatives including Familiarization Tours, sales missions and trade shows. 8. Full-time staff responsible for marketing, media, communications and trade, membership, Bureau operations, Visitors Centers and customer service. 9. Provide destination website for Visitor information 24/7. 10. Social Media by way of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. 11. On-line Vacation Planner which may be read on-line and/or downloaded. 12. Condensed Vacation Planner in six languages: English, French, French Canadian, Mandarin, Spanish and German.
