The mission of Tahoe Youth and Family Services ("TYFS") is to promote the healthy development of the children, youth and individuals through counseling, mentoring and support services.
BCP - provided shelter via host homes, counseling, case management and crisis line for runaway and homeless youth and potential runaway and homeless youth.AOD - provided Alcohol and Drug counseling to youth ages 10-18 and collateral services for their families.Mentoring - provided mentoring services to the community of youth targeting the ages of 4 - 18 years.
The Executive Director has just completed her second year as the leader of this organization. This second year has been fraught with multiple challenges that made the organization stronger and the board and ED more determined. However, with those challenges have come many exciting opportunities. As we move forward, with a passionate board of directors, major progress in rebuilding Tahoe Youth is underway. Board members continue to be provided monthly training in areas such as fundraising, non-profit ethics and fiscal responsibility. We continue to look to the future by improving our programs and financial stability. Tahoe Youth & Family Services expanded our community impact by improving our relationships with funders, partners and donors and building strategic alliances to create positive community change.
