Rianda House is committed to providing UpValley seniors with programs, support services and experiences that stimulate minds, strengthen bodies and promote independent living through education, recreation and social involvement.
Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies offers a full complement of prevention-focused, bilingual physical and mental health classes and services focusing brain fitness, strength training, falls prevention, nutrition, chronic disease prevention and management, congregate meals, grief support and health screenings. In March of 2020 these services were no longer provided from a physical location and instead were provided on a virtual basis as much as possible. An additional class was offered to teach remote learning skills.
Community Connections provides a safety net of comprehensive services for seniors, families, caregivers and concerned individuals. Rianda House offers co-located services, information and referral to regional programs and resources and outreach and education to local seniors. In March of 2020, these services were no longer provided at a physical location and instead were provided on a virtual basis as much as possible.
Friends for Life provides opportunities to socialize, volunteer and connect with the larger community so that seniors can thrive. Keeping our older generation fully engaged creates a healthier community for generations to come.
