Organizations Filed Purposes: The Mission of the Downtown Stockton Alliance is to develop, promote and maintain historic Downtown Stockton as a regional business, cultural and entertainment destination.

The Downtown Stockton Alliance's 2020 accomplishments include:Place-making Grant Program awarding $20,000.00 to local businesses.Chung Wah/Mun Kwok Lane Plaza reclamation (Chinese Plaza).Ghost tour 4 new paranormal segments to be released each October.Installed 14 outdoor restaurant patio enclosures in Downtown funded through City pandemic CARE funding.Purchased and operate a portable bathroom/shower unit for homeless.Mural in F Parking LotBusiness focus video series Doors to DowntownReplaced Security Company with in-house Safety Ambassadors Program adding two additional patrol shifts with 6 Safety Ambassadors and a supervisor.Navigated organization through the COVID-19 pandemic without interrupting the services of the DSAs core mission.Jazz in the Plaza concert series

Economic Development:We are a part of change in Downtown Stockton. The Economic Development activities in Downtown Stockton have gotten the attention of numerous investors from throughout California and the Bay Area. Escalating real estate prices in the Bay Area have driven investors to investments in commercial property in Downtown Stockton. In addition, an active developer, 10 Space, has turned over new investments and filled a number of long vacant properties into thriving commercial space. Three new restaurants opened and downtown's first brewery opened. DSA is marketing support for the restaurant cluster in Downtown. In addition, DSA began a new partnership with Centro Community Partners, an international micro-enterprise center to provide training to new micro enterprise and small business entrepreneurs. A Spanish language class is being readied and a post- graduation network is planned. This program was sponsored by the City of Stockton CDBG and by BBVA Compass Bank. The second year of the Great Big Read event was held in successful partnership with the City of Stockton Library Services and the Beyond our Gates program at University of the Pacific, as well as many community partners. The event emphasizes literacy as an increasingly important investment in Stockton, with an important connection to business success in the community. A full special events calendar includes the annual Love You Baby restaurant promotion, the annual Great Big Read, and the Full Moon Riders promotional ride on the full moon night each month from May to October, bringing hundreds of riders into the downtown. A new program added in 2018 "Walk with Weber Historical Audio Tour"
