Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of The Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum is to educating people in railroad history and lore and also to further the avocation of live steam, gas-mechanical and electronic railroad technology.
TO EDUCATE THE MEMBERSHIP AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND TO PRESERVE THE HISTORY OF STEAM LOCOMOTION.
EDUCATIONAL SERVICES PROVIDE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC (600 TO 900 INDIVIDUALS PER WEEK) AND MEMBERS (300 TO 400 MEMBERS) WITH RESPECT TO SCALE MODEL RAILROADING.
IMPROVEMENT AND BEAUTIFICATION OF GRIFFITH PARK, WHICH IS OWNED BY THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES. FUNDS ARE EXPENDED TO IMPROVE AND BEAUTIFY THE 17 ACRE GROUNDS.
SPRING AND FALL MEETS ENCOURAGE INTEREST IN STEAM LOCOMOTION. APPROXIMATELY 2,000 INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATE IN EACH MEET. DUE TO COVID-19 THESE MEETS WERE NOT HELD THIS CYCLE.
