BitGive Foundation ("BitGive") is a Delaware nonprofit corporation organized to support the improvement of public health and the environment. BitGive is designed to be broad and flexible in its approach to supporting charitable activities designed to improve public health and the environment.
During the course of the fiscal year 19/20, BitGive's work was mostly focused on continued improvements to GiveTrack and launching and running charity campaigns. We built and added several new features to our revolutionary donation platform GiveTrack, using blockchain technology to track donor contributions from donation to complete deployment and tie each donation to project results on the ground. Improvements included a full re-design to improve the user's experience and the user interface, as well as the integration of a new wallet on the platform, which was built and deployed in FY 19/20 but publicly announced after the fiscal year closed. We also made many continued improvements to the platform's architecture and carried on continued maintenance, in addition to new features for donors and nonprofits. BitGive's team vetted dozens of nonprofits who applied to use the platform, recruited and onboarded numerous nonprofits from all around the world, launched a number of new charitable campaigns, and followed on with the implementation and reporting of campaigns from the previous fiscal year. BitGive's Founder participated in a number of activities to further the outreach and education on the application of Bitcoin and Blockchain technology for nonprofits and philanthropic use cases, including speaking engagements, podcasts, press interviews, and more. Lastly, BitGive invested in organizational capacity growth and expansion of its team.
