Mountian Area Preservation seeks to protect open space as well as parks and public places that are linked by readily accessable pedestrian paths and bikeways. On a regional level, we are focused on protecting biologically sensitive land for the benefits of wildlife, watershed management and passive recreation. MAP seeks to preserve mountain town character by balancing growth wih protecting our environment and embracing smart growth principles.

Mountain Ares Preservation believes in building community strengths by consistantly participating in the public process and providing the public with information and by being an example to others.
