Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Ford Street Project provides shelter, housing, substance abuse treatment and employment services to the homeless, addicted, and disabled in Mendocino County.
Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment Program: Ukiah Recovery Center located at 201 Brush Street, provides a state licensed and certified alcohol and other drugs residential treatment facility for up to 40 clients participating in detoxification (3+ days) and/or residential treatment (1-6+ months) services, as well as a 22 bed Sober Living Environment. Outpatient Treatment Program provides a state licensed individual and group counseling for individuals seeking assistance with substance abuse issues. The DUI Program provides a state licensed outpatient alcohol treatment to individuals, offering counseling and education to first and multiple offenders. Program was closed in February 2016
HOUSING PROGRAMS: Emergency Shelter provides a year-round emergency shelter for 18 single adult participants and 3 to 4 families, who are clean and sober, work ready and willing to participate in a vocational program and work 20 hours a week. Transitional Housing Program provides rentals (6 months to 2 years) and supportive services program with case management for individuals and families pursuing economic self sufficiency and independent living. Program transitioned into permanent housing in July 2016.Permanent Housing Program provides rentals, case management and supportive services to homeless, low income and private pay individuals and families.CARE PROGRAMS:Community Food Bank provides weekly and emergency food distributions, distributes monthly commodities through the USDA, and Holiday Food Baskets.UVMC Respite provides contractual respite stays to homeless and displaced individuals, in the care of Adventist Health Ukiah Valley Medical Center whom are recovering from various medical conditions. Admittance is by select referral only.Homeless Resource Center located at 888 N State Street provides case management, referral sources and mail receipt location for homeless individuals and families in Mendocino County. Homeless Resource Center closed July 2016. Vocational Training Program provides unaccredited vocational training to clients, participants and contractors of the program. Including but not limit to; organic commercial gardening, commercial kitchen operations with safeserv certification, warehouse organization and distribution, home repair and maintenance, household budgeting and credit repair.
Campus Division and Vocational Programs: provide clients with the opportunityto work 20 hours a week.
