THE SPECIFIC PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE CORPORATION IS FORMED ARE TO EDUCATE AND TRAIN ACTORS, WRITERS AND DIRECTORS; TO SERVE AS A MODEL FOR A NEW AWARENESS IN THEATRICAL CREATIVITY; AND TO EDUCATE AND INFORM THE PUBLIC. THE ORGANIZATION'S THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS PROVIDE CULTURAL EXPERIENCES FOR THE PUBLIC, SERVE AS A KEY ELEMENT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS, AND GENERATE REVENUE.
During 2019, the Company conducted a total of 49 hours of instruction to members. Workshops/classes were offered in acting, dialect/voice training, movement/dance, directing, producing and theatre management. In addition, hands on opportunities were supplied as follows: 750 hours of rehearsal time (for actors, stage managers, directors and writers); 836 hours of design and production work (for designers, producers, directors); 165 hours of performance time (for all members).
During 2019, the Company presented a Season of staged readings, workshops, and experimental productions (both musical and dramatic) involving 138 actors and approximately 48 other members. Productions were attended by over 4,333 patrons.
